PanL
Overview
PanL is a smart control system created for connected spaces, bringing lighting, climate, scenes, security, and automation into a clear touch-based interface.
The brief called for a visual direction that could sit between smart technology and everyday living: precise enough for a control system, but soft enough to feel natural inside homes, offices, and hospitality spaces.
The direction was built to stay clear and modular across multiple PanL touchpoints.
Interface Experience
The interface was designed as a clear touch-first control experience, combining home status, room management, scene presets, and automation settings into a consistent visual system. Large cards, simple active states, and color-coded feedback help users quickly understand what is active, what can be controlled, and where each action belongs.
Device Integration
The flat UI layouts were translated into presentation visuals that show the interface in a more realistic product setting. This helped give the PanL system a stronger sense of scale, depth, and everyday use, while keeping the focus on the clarity of the interface.
Product Collateral
The same visual direction was carried into printed collateral and product presentation materials, keeping the brand, interface language, and product messaging aligned beyond the screen. Brochures and packaging visuals helped present PanL as a complete smart home product, not only a digital interface.
Extended Ecosystem
PanL was structured as a wider product ecosystem, with visual directions for Smarter Living, Desk Manager, and Room Manager. Each branch keeps the same core identity while using its own color and interface context, allowing the system to adapt across home control, workspace management, and room-based automation.
Outcome
The final direction brought PanL’s interface, icons, device visuals, and supporting materials into one cohesive product language, clear enough for control, flexible enough to extend across different smart living touchpoints.
